Nephrops Norvegicus

In the words of Radiohead - 'Creep'.

'I don't belong here'. I am of course talking about this poor Langoustine she shouldn't be here waiting to be eaten, she should still be swimming in the sea waiting for her eggs hatch!!! These of course won't. This what hubby found whilst preparing our dinner tonight! Thought it would make for an interesting blip. Still experimenting with my macro lens so any tips from this shot would be grateful.

I have been really fortunate enough this week as I have had two days on different conferences. Yesterday I was at a maths conference, with a brilliant speaker. Lynn Churchman was amazing at talking about the difficulties children have with maths and how we can best support them. Truly inspirational in many ways, if you are in education and get the opportunity to hear her speak I would recommend it.

Today has been a much different conference. I was invited to the Primary Headteachers Conference for Hampshire, for the 2nd year in a row we had the privilege to hear Dr Steve Peters speak about the Chimp Paradox. An amazing man to listen to and such insight into the brain and how it works. Also how to use the principles of Chimp Management in leadership in schools. Dr Peters has worked with many sports people - Ronnie O'Sullivan, Steven Gerrard, British Cycling, and now the England Football in preparation for the world cup. I truly inspirational speaker and gave you lots to think about for your professional and home life. I am now going to read his book to find out more on how to manage my chimp.

Been such a better week this week. Stress levels have been much improved and I want to thank all of you who have supported me over the last week, giving me tips and advice on how to calm down and reduce stress levels. I really do appreciate all the support.

Happy friday tomorrow everyone!
