This month marks the third anniversary of the conflict in Syria. Candlelit vigils are being held across the world to show solidarity with the Syrian people and with the aim that this will be the last anniversary of such needless bloodshed.
The Trafalgar Square vigil featured a reworked version of Banksy's girl with a heart balloon projected on to Nelson's column, where the girl represents a Syrian refugee.
The lightshow was accompanied by a soundtrack of Syrian voices and sounds from Zaatari refugee camp in Jordan. Very moving.
