Very interesting developments on the sunspot front led me to abandon my intentions of blipping the moon tonight, she'll have to be satisfied with a post on my blog!
The group of spots on the equator continue to grow in stature, as does the group on the right upper limb, while a new already large spot is appearing on the left upper limb, will any of them prove volatile?
This was a stack of 29 images taken with the Sony a-290 and Minolta 75-300mm zoom combo, at 1/4000s, f/5.6 and ISO100, cropped and centred in PIPP, stacked in Registax and coloured in Photoshop.
