Cement Worker, North Docks

Drove onto the scrap metal dock and was confronted by a large German naval vessel. I took a few shots and then two guys wandered past and I asked if I could take their portraits. They were both friendly and talkative, like most workers I've met in the docklands. And they understood when I asked them to stand against the nearby wall (a great background). I didn't even have to ask Richard not to smile.

I drove further along the road, to the South Wall. Very foggy day, an interesting light (and absence of). Lola was in the car raring to go for a sprint on the beach, but I got into taking photographs so the poor dog had to wait till I collected the wean an hour or so later and took them both for a little amble on the East Pier.
