My littlest and I celebrated the beginning of my 38th year with a bracing, wild, windy and wonderful walk along the coastal path at Collieston. I've been feeling a bit scunnered recently with the relentlessness of day to day living so it was lovely to take the day out and the sea air in.

We returned home after lunch in time to pick the other boys up from school and share a plateful of candle adorned creme egg brownies which my lovely husband had made on his lunch break.

A fab day in all.
