Sami in Jalkasaari island

Jalkasaari island is very small rocky island that lies on the southern side of Pyynikki ridge. There are two beaches close to each other; two stretches of sand are separated by a path leading to a pedestrian bridge, which in turn leads to Jalkasaari island. Ice is melting fast from Pyhäjärvi lake and it could be heard.

In today's news they said that Emma and Onni topped the list of first names given to children born in Finland in 2013. Last year, 445 girls were given the first name Emma and 431 boys were christened Onni.
