Stuffed peppers

When we decided to have stuffed peppers for dinner, I immediately thought "Great - nice, colourful blip opportunity!"

5 minutes after they'd come out of the oven, I had a new respect for food photographers. I was expecting the technical challenges of trying to make the food look as good and appetising as it was in real life (and trust me, these were delicious!). But what took me by surprise was the time pressure. First I had the family waiting impatiently and hungrily, muttering dire threats about what would happen to me if their dinner was eventually served up cold. And then I discovered....peppers cannot be trusted! Within a couple of minutes, the lovely glossy skins had started to wrinkle, shrivel and shrink!

At the risk of coming across as the vengeful type (the taste of Marmite lingers...), this one is dedicated to TeaAddict.

So....later, when I'd eaten my models, and recovered from the stress of the rushed shoot, I was processing the pictures....and suddenly I saw eyes staring out at me!!! Have a look at The Invasion of the Mutant Peppers...would have made a good Halloween blip! :)
