Wind no 5: wind vane

It's small but it is a wind vane bottom left, pointing to the nor'west.

I was hit by something dodgy in the small hours and felt as crook as a dog. No work for me today, I've been home in the tender care of Dr Cat. Other than feeling sorry for myself I can see I'll live ;-) (G was suddenly struck down with a tummy bug yesterday so I guess I have a touch of his bug).

If I had been going to work I would have thought twice about biking. The good old nor'easterly was blowing a gale and that can be dicey on a bike.

We had a few hours of calmer conditions during the afternoon and then it blew like a wild thing from the nor'west.

I popped out for my blip early evening and wind had all but died away. Won't be for long. Look at those clouds. It's ugly stuff in the hills and maybe raining at Cabbagetree Cottage. Before long it will be raining here and blowing from the sou'west.

Think I'll crawl back under my rock now.
