The Melt

My folks are visiting this week for Evan's concert. We went to the Como Conservatory today. I took tons of beautiful photos of them and of flowers, but I think was the best photo of the day.

My dad was fixing our doorbell and I could hear the drip, drip of the impending spring. There is still a chill in the air, but it is no longer painful to breathe. I looked up at the greens in my porch basket and saw these melting droplets. The way they are hanging on the edge of the needle is exactly how I feel while waiting for spring.
