Grant Memorial

Pleasant afternoon walking up the Mall taking photos. As I have camera bag, tripod etc it was amazing the number of folks who asked me to fire off shots on their phones and IPads. Folks on the Mall very friendly - spent half an hour talking music with Gene from Virginia Beach and then a group of pastors at a convention in DC.

This is a little detail from the fantastic Grant Memorial at the front of the Capitol Building. A stunning sculpture.
