I.O.W

Over the past few years, Mr C and I have a weekend away with some dear friends. Although last year didn't happen so we may try and fit another one (or two) in this year.
We left home at 7.30 this morning and our journey to Southampton was interspersed with foggy patches. On arriving in Southampton the fog was quite dense and the ferry was delayed by half hour.
We arrived at the hotel about 12.30ish and the sun began to make an appearance. We dumped our bags in our rooms and headed down to the spa for a swim, steam/sauna and a chill in the hydrotherapy pool followed by a back, neck and shoulder massage. After relaxation time we headed back to our rooms to enjoy the bottle of chilled prosecco waiting for us.
Tonight we ate at the hotel and then poodled down to the pub for a fun evening of quiz games.
Tomorrow we are off to explore the island.
