Here, autumn is my favourite season. There is the first realisation that no more very hot days are likely. Then, like today, some cooler cloudy days roll in, perhaps with rain. Mostly its knowing that the hot summer is at last finished, that optimistic feeling. If I lived in a very cold climate I imagine spring would be my favourite season for similar reasons.
