Corylopsis spicata

The last few sunny days have brought many shrubs and trees into leaf and flower. Here are the lovely yellow flowers of Corylopsis spicata, a shrub in the witch hazel family. This is a 10 foot shrub outside the window of my studio which brightens late winter every year with its myriad dainty flowers.
