Policy Of Truth
Evening all.
Something I've been using on which I'm going to write up elsewhere if I can get a feel for it is the subject of lying.
I'm trying to honestly think if I've gone through a full day of life ever, certainly since being an adult (ha!) without telling a lie of some description. Not the massive big woppers, but the little "not quite" lies or throwaway ones which we use to dismiss our own feelings.
you know, someone whacks into you with their trolley at the supermarket and asks if you're ok, you smile politely, murmur an affirmation then walk away...hobbling, and thinking of course I'm not ok you stupid cow, can't you see I've got a broken leg, look at me, I'm crying..
or complimenting clearly blind people on their choice of unmatching colour clashing outfits, we purr "lovely", when we think "you can't be serious, you look like an explosion in a paint factory"
Millions upon millions, layer upon layer, trivial to the serious, time after time, day upon day, we lie.
It keeps us sane and props up our very society, ingrained into our very souls and psyche, but lets face it the alternative would be far too painful to embrace....
wouldn't it.? Lovely light in that photo by the way.
night all
