Granddaughter's 7th birthday party

Although her birthday was yesterday the party was this evening after school had finished for the week. There were 8 guests, two of which were boys, so that was nice. An all in one solution for busy parents; bowling, food and cake and go home - with a bar for parents, grandparents and others to congregate while the bowling happened.

Ramps and buffers help the youngsters to propel the ball down the lane - they get quite respectable scores - just as good as I do when I hurl the ball down with brute force and ignorance.

It was quite funny that on an adjacent lane were teachers from their school including their class teacher. I bet she thought she was rid of them for the weekend - how wrong could she have been!

It was a very good party, everyone well behaved and the party girl had a good time being the centre of attention. Nice to see her, she's growing up fast. Where have the last 7 years gone? Next September she'll be going up to junior school.
