If you look carefully there's a three-legged lady in this picture, as well as a very strange-looking car!

Twickenham is being dug up at the moment. A couple of years ago, the Council carried out a public consultation on the future of the town centre. Apparently, what was overwhelmingly required was new pavements, the relocation of bus stops ( how inconvenient for traffic flow, having bus stops on the main section of the High Street?), and the removal of cycle lanes. Luckily TFL wouldn't allow the cycle lanes to be removed.

Looking through the barricades, the shiny new Twickenham doesn't look so different from the old....
