Paua Koru
DDW's March Challenge Day 15: Nacreous = Mother of Pearl-like, iridescent
This is a pendant from New Zealand, made from Paua shell, also known (less excitingly) as abalone. The shape 'koru' is based on the way the fern unfurls as it grows.
