New Houses

These new houses on the way to Blackpool are being built on concrete beams suspended on piles. Top soil has been brought onto site and piled up around them to raise the ground level. Before they started building, this land was very boggy and I don't suppose it is any coincidence that there is a large pond on the edge of the development.

I took the picture while I was out on a bike ride this morning, windy heading for Blackpool but wind assisted on the return through St Annes and Lytham.
