Went to Scout Green for the regular "steam" pictures but the coaches came through pulled by a diesel and after an hours wait the loco appeared with a single carriage.

We met up by chance with another Blipper/cousin Kanyl and went for lunch at Orton.

Then set off for Culgaith to watch the return trip but thinking we would be pushing it for time we went to Appleby station.

Finished our day out by a drive along Ullswater and back over Whinlatter pass.
