Mackerel sky

A working day here today, even though it's a Saturday. Two of us were heads-down writing: copy backlog catchup for me, uni essay for hannahxd. So two sets of computer keys were hotter than the sunshine that taunted us outdoors.

Late this afternoon I spotted this amazing mackerel sky outside the back door. The beautiful light looked amazing over our neighbour's cottage. Another mild sunny day is promised for tomorrow, hooray.

Mackerel sky, mackerel sky
Never long wet, never long dry.

When the clouds spread like a feather
Mariners look for fair, good weather.

Hope they're right.
