OOOOOPPPS

Two different colors? I don't think so. Today I was back in the temporary dye studio (Building one upstairs so using the basement for now). I wanted to do a lavender to dark purple gradient for a special spinning project. BUT the two colors looked identical in the containers. I stupidly thought - hmmm - must get lighter when steamed. No. Not right. And the company is closed on saturdays so I have to fuss about it (and I will) until then. Both are purple not one purple one lavender. These are the filters I use when I pour the dye into the squeeze bottles.

Never dull this fiber business!! Fiber not lost - just goes into the spinning pile and will be combined with something wonderful.
