The sawbuck - design by AkkuV
Today I show you something practical continuing series I
started 7.11.2009. I cannot build a house from beginning to
the end. But I have made my second sawbuck of my own design
by the bad experiences of the first one. This is a
heavy-duty model so that whole load of a trailer can be
loaded at one time there and no intermediate landing is
needed. The sawhorse is nailed very firmly from up to a
board therefore that nails cannot be used in a sawbuck in
wrong places. If you saw with chainsaw to a nail, it
practically means that you have to change the chain and it
costs minimum 10 - 12 euros. The sawhorse has four stalls
which are planned so that boxes (the red one in the picture)
can be put inside to 3 of the 4 stalls and the stubs fall
directly to the boxes. The one stall is smaller, because the
width of the box is 40 cm, but the stubs in the stove of
sauna can be maximum 35- 38 cm and after two broad stalls
one smaller one is needed to be able to cut all stubs
shorter than 40 cm.
Actually the sawing happens from the right side because the board
prevents sawing from the left side.
There are also other practical things seen in the
picture, but I will tell of them later.
