rise up...

...and have peace

i turned around - trying to decide what to post - and there - out of nowhere - was another lily blossom - rising up - i swear it wasn't there yesterday - or even beginning the day before

isn't it funny - how that happens - it's that way with life, too - when i think about it - it's how this week has been for me - a somewhat difficult struggle - where i feel like i've needed to rise up - it's what we all need to do - sometimes - when we face certain things - situations staring at us - which may be disagreeable - which we find painful or unfair - circumstances we didn't ask for - things we so wish could be different - yet are not - so we need to dig deep - brush ourselves off - pull up those bootstraps - rise up - realize it isn't quite as bad as it could've been - there is astonishing value in an outcome that happened - and beauty remains in the immediate world - in the here and now - so we must grab hold - of the peace lilies - which rise up before us - helping to make it...
