Tranquil....

A late blip, but a picture that reflects my state of mind. I was entertaining chums this evening - chums I have known some 30 years - a group from high school.

Within minutes of their arrival the room was filled with the sound of three conversations at once and lots of laughter. We've begun chatting about a trip next year to celebrate our collective 50th birthday.

After they'd gone I sat and watched my candle for a while. There is much I love about candles. The sense of tranquility they invoke, their scent and the flame - which I've always been drawn to.

I feel I could sit here for hours but my bed beckons. It's been a good day.
