Not pruney but solid with rust

We woke to heavy rain so didn't get up early. We had breakfast and packed up the house by 10 and took off for Oamaru where we stopped for coffee and farewells to pcc and katey.

The photo comes from the Steam Punk outfit. They have lifted lots of old railway engines and other stuff that had been dumped in the sea long ago when obsolete – it made me giggle to think we go pruney when soaked too long in water, engines just produce loads of rust, especially in salt water.


We drove alongside the coast most of the way and could see the waves through the rain. A cyclone has hit the middle of NZ with heavy rains and winds and high tides coming from the NW.
