Pale and Structured

It was a “pale and structured” sort of a day today. Certainly pale with dull grey skies in the morning. The rain started dropping out of those dull grey skies in the late morning as I started walking the dogs. It was umbrella weather as the rain was quite heavy. We seem to have missed the dramatic weather that hit the North Island this weekend…well so far anyway. Heavy rain is predicted in Nelson and Marlborough overnight.
I use the phrase “Pale and Structured” as when I started processing an image of some vividly coloured purple flowers on the Potato Vine that I photographed in a friend’s garden this morning, I chose to use the “Pale and Structured” filter in Nik for dramatic effect. I rather like it.
