Ladies only!!

As a former bladder and bowel specialist nurse, I still have an interest in quality toilets!! And these take the top prize. I first saw them on Billy Connelly's tour of New Zealand on TV several years ago and when I realised that we would pass nearby on our trip today...I just had to visit!!

They are the Hundertwasser's toilets in Kawakawa. As we left, a coach load of Japanese mostly female tourists descended, hope they didn't all need to go, as there would be a long wait!!

This morning we left Paihia's residents clearing up the debris from beach front road, the after effects of cyclone Luci yesterday. The weather was warm, cloudy, but dry as we drove south to Henderson, which is west of Auckland.

On the way we stopped of at the Kaipara coast sculpture garden. It has 57 sculptures set along a twisting 1km trail through mature gardens. These are works by 46 established and emerging New Zealand artists. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

We are in Henderson for a couple of nights before we move to an airport hotel for one night, as we have an early flight to Singapore on Wednesday morning
