Top of the Brae

Local Half Marathon today, took an extended detour from an emergency run to the Co-Op for carrots to stop at the top the nasty hill these poor runners face near the end of the route. And this is right after they'd just had a few miles of slogging it straight into a leg sapping wind along the Hillfoots road. No wonder there's a few pained expressions in there.

Good on them all, and especially to our neice VJ (new PB) and neebur Duffy (first half marathon) who finished the race in fine form and still managed a smile for the camera at the top of the hill.
