Flotsam
After heavy rain, the Manchester Ship Canal is full of flotsam and debris that has been collected by the River Irwell, which supplies it's water.
Some of this debris rushes past us at Salford Quays, but some drifts into the many canal basins and collects (and stinks) in the corners.
This a shot of your some of this flotsam and gives a good example of it's typical make up: branches, soft drink bottles, polystyrene packaging, balls and (a one off on this occasion) one of those ING rings!
Still influenced by Richie Rollovers blip of about a month ago, I have coloured that bit in - I think that is the technical term?
Maybe this blip will feature in their next ad.
