Spring......

......is here! The daffodils are starting to come out in Rosehaugh. I always look forward to this time of the year as the estate starts to come to life and if you shut your eyes to the dereliction to you can imagine how it used to look in its heyday. It must have been so impressive with lakes and terraced gardens, summer houses, vast wine cellars and stables, kennels, hothouse and icehouse and the large, imposing mansion with bronze statues guarding the entrance. Very sad that is no longer there.

If it hadn't been demolished though I wouldn't be spending very enjoyable afternoons wandering around with the dogs.
