Locked out
There are better photos of the England v Wales women's rugby at the Stoop this evening. Or the Twickenham Stoop as they seem to have rechristened it. However, I'm sticking with the policy of picking the photo that most sums up the day and this wins. I'm still getting slightly annoyed writing about this more than a week after the event.
Let's just say that the person who had arranged the tickets and a worryingly late meet time to distribute them had arrived early so gone off with someone for food and a drink. So we were left without food or drink standing outside a place serving (a) beer and (b) pretty darn good burgers etc while the person with the tickets got food and drink. Grrr! They didn't even have the decency to get back BEFORE the game started and they got annoyed when we rang them to find out where they were. Apparently, they couldn't walk quicker as they had a bad knee. Sorry, no sympathy. You had a bad knee before you went away, you knew you couldn't walk quickly so could have left earlier or, hang on brainwave, you could have gone into the ground got food and drink and then passed our tickets out through the gate we watched the first 5-10 minutes through. Oh and after all that don't ask me for free physio advice in the bar afterwards.
Rant over. The game we did see was a great game and a cracking evening. We shall just be organising our own tickets in future.
