Long Day's Journey

This was an epic day: professionally and transportally. Up at 5am to fly to London to record 12 Years a Slave with Rhashan Stone as a Book of the Week for Radio 4. A really brilliant experience.

Later, I was caught up in weather shenanigans: flights out of London city Airport were cancelled, the place was full of disappointed lovers, hoping to jet away for a romantic Valentines Day break. So, I schlepped over to Euston to catch sleeper north, put earplugs in then was woken at 3 am by the guard, to be told that we'd not left the station... So, then it was over to Kings Cross to catch the 6.15am train to Edinburgh.... I finally made it home midday Saturday.
