Mmmmmm, apple xxx

Aww Eva's eczema at the top of her back has really been aggravating her today. I'm sure it was that that caused to stir a few times throughout the night too :-( there's one little spot in particular that has really flared up. I've rubbed her cream off the doctor in a fair few times today, but she's kept arching her back and rubbing her back against things throughout the day and it's obviously getting to her. It makes me sad :-( :-( :-(

I ummed and arred about going to Rhythm Time this morning beings as Eva's been under the weather, but I thought it would do her good to get out of the house and she loves Rhythm Time, so we went. Eva loved it as usual, but fell asleep briefly in the car on the way home. She's slept so much this week.

We put the pyjamas on Eva's Bedtime Bear that Aunty Lynne bought her for her birthday when we got back. Eva took her out of the box and straight away said "teddyyyy" she says the 't' of teddy with her tongue between her teeth, such cuteness. She then lay down on the carpet with it and lay on it like she does when she's having a sleep with her snuggle bear.

Again at one point today Eva took herself off over to her books and sat there turning the pages and looking at the pictures. Today's choice was her nursery rhyme book, so I went and sat with her and tried to sing each nursery rhyme with her as she got to each page, but she just wanted to turn the pages and not spend too much time on each one lol.

After her sleep this afternoon, yet again a mammoth 2 and a half hour one, Eva had some stew followed by a yoghurt (the most she's eaten all week I think) and then we got her tunnel out. I filled it with the balls from her ballpit and she loved it. Harvey also loved it (one of my Siberian cats) and Eva found it hilarious when Harvey shot passed her on a couple of occasions, oh it was comical.

My dad popped round for a coffee and a munch of Eva this afternoon too. We're going to see 'Let It Be', the Beatles musical on Monday night with his friend Mike who he's doing the Open University course with, so we were chatting about that, I'm so excited.

Jake got himself an apple out of the fridge earlier and asked if he could let Eva have some. I haven't given Eva apple in ages, as I've been paranoid about her choking as it's a hard fruit. I said it would be ok as long as it was from the whole apple and if he bit some away first so she ate from the same place. Oh my gosh she loved it, she didn't want to give it back. It was so cute too seeing her little hands with the dimples in her knuckles holding a big apple awwww.

Her poor back and chest :-( I lay her down in her bath with oilatum in it just before bedtime and let her float there for a while, just making sure the oilatum well and truly soaked in. If it's not much better by next week I think I will go back to the doctors and maybe see about some steroid cream, I really didn't want to go down that route, I thought it would have cleared up by now. She never used to have eczema, it's just appeared in the last few weeks and got progressively worse :-( poor baby girl. Xxx
