Project Garden 2014 - Day 8

Not the picture I was expected to post today, however a change is weather from a sunny afternoon with gentle breeze to wet and windy meant that the final few jobs were challenging.

The new cold frame has been constructed, however being of a lightweight construction it was blowing around, even when I buried the base. As an interim message measure a bag of gravel has been placed on top. The intention is to cut two battens to fit to the sides and then attach to the the raised bed. A sunny evening this week should get that done.

Inside are some herbs for the new herb bed and the onion sets in small pots to get them started. As the summer progresses it is likely that salad leaves will be planted in the cold frame,
