Today was a family walk along the Water of Leith, sheltering from the blustery wind and mostly watching the backs of our kids as they zoomed off on their scooters.

This subject was cleaning some display cabinets and I asked to take some portraits of her. However, I just couldn't get a composition that I liked and I don't think she was terribly impressed with the previews that I showed her either. So I gave up and trudged off, figuring I wasn't going to get a second chance. A few minutes later I happened to be back at the same spot and took this more candid shot which works much better.
