Clatchard Quarry Changed My Life

An unusual title for a photo you may think.

In early 2010 I made the same climb up the hill to look over Clatchard Quarry as I did today. I had my new camera with me and took a photo from this self same spot. I quite liked it so sent it off to the Scotland on Sunday who ran a photo of the week competition. Surprisingly the following Sunday the photo was featured in their magazine having won.

From that point on I was hooked!

I've had a fair amount of success with Clatchard as a year or two later I made it onto the BBC website Pictures of Scotland on their website.

Today's effort was into the sun and seemed to be suited to black and white.
