All puffed up

It's mating season for the cardinals, and the males are pulling out all the stops. This young fella had his chest so puffed up, he looked like he was about ready to explode! At one point I had 6 males & 4 females all lounging at the feeder & the birdbath. What a perfect way to wind down my vacation week. Family is gone, and it's just me, hubby & the pups. Back to life, back to reality tomorrow.

Today I am thankful for the beautiful weather we had today & all week while my son & his wife were here. Blessed beyond belief.
