Cup Final Day
Scottish League Cup Final 2014, Aberdeen F.C. v Inverness Caledonian Thistle. Aberdeen hadn't won a trophy since 1995 and it was the first time Inverness had made it to a major cup final. Me and my friend Angus helped Daddy (who's an Aberdonian) cheer his home team to victory. It was great fun ... here's hoping it's not as long until they win another trophy!
"Come, let us a' be hearty, boys, the moments we are here,
And banter o'er our earthly joys, they're only twa-three year,
They're only two-three year, my boys, and maybe only hoors;
So haud a jeering spark aboot, the present time is oors,
Oh, the present time is oors, the present time is oors.
So haud a jeerin' spark aboot, the present time is oors."
(The Present Time Is Oors - from The Greig-Duncan Folk Song Collection, Volume 3)
