Woodpecker party

It was a great day for birds - 4 different kinds of woodpeckers at my mom and dad's, including a glimpse of the pileated that only makes an occasional appearance. I then stopped to see my BIL and SIL in Maryland on the way home and as I was making the turn onto their road I spotted a kestrel hunting from a power line. I pulled over and ventured into a corn field to take some pictures - I was too far away to get anything decent, but it was very cool to watch him in action. This is only the second time I have ever seen a kestrel - they are near the top of my favorite list so I was very happy.
