A Stroll in the forest

It was an overcast day and coming home from church I noticed the trilliums were blooming, so decided to take a stroll in our 'back 40' and see what I could see. There is a mix of a very green ground cover, little yellow wild flowers, a trillium and across the crick on the hill was a mix of trilliums and ferns. I also discovered some bleeding heart. It made me very happy since I had dug some up at hubbies moms and planted it several years ago. They are surviving very nicely.

We had a good service, then went to dinner with the family. Several of us had 'corned beef and cabbage' to celebrate St. Patricks Day. Just a very nice family time. Overall, a great day.
