Wow

What a fantastic day for March. The thermometer hit 21 at one point and it was wall to wall sunshine all day. I've been told it always is like this in Dorset by a very reliable source :). Started our day today with a walk along the sea front in Weymouth, along to the harbour - glorious! Then we found my brother in law could escape from hospital for a few hours so we drove via Southampton to Netley abbey, a beautiful old ruined monastery built in the 1200's. Then down to a Royal Victoria Country Park, where the old naval hospital was originally built, for a wander in the park and down to the Solent. Finished our day in Lee on Solent, then drove home, via Heathrow to pick up Bek from her weekend in Amsterdam. What a weekend!
