Old Stile

One of the footpaths we use has this old disused stile. It presumably became redundant as the footpath is now fenced off from the main field. Nature is beginning to take over. The top rung has been well chewed by the horses that reside in the field!

The footpath is really well maintained now - no ploughing up by the farmers, and the trees and bushes are always pruned back to keep path clear. I'm not sure the dogs appreciate the trimming though as some of the trees are holly! It must be like walking over needles for them!
