DDW Challenge. Caliginous; dim, obscure, dark

First of all - thank you to everyone who commented on yesterday’s effort. It really did mean a lot.

This is a fern on the North facing side of the garden. I know there is something nasty lurking in there - I’ve seen it. Guarding the entrance is this wood violet, Viola odorate, sometimes referred to as an ‘uninvited guest’ owing to its habit of colonising shaded areas of the garden. As far as I’m concerned it can stay as long as it likes.

As for Rattus Norvegicus, who appears to have set up home in there - he is the real uninvited guest and the sooner he goes the better.
