Every day here is a revelation for me. I was on a snagging tour of our new building this hot sunny morning and noticed these aluminium doors. They are made here in Qatar from one of the biggest and most eco friendly aluminium plants in the world. For those who want to know more about it can read about it in italics below.

Qatalum is an equal joint venture between Qatar Petroleum and Hydro Aluminium of Norway and produces 585,000 tons of high-quality primary aluminium products per annum from twin 1.2 kilometre potlines. Qatalum’s complex facilities include a carbon plant, port and storage facilities, as well as a captive power plant.
Qatalum’s state-of-the-art cast house products are value-added extrusion ingots and foundry alloys that meet the stringent quality standards of its global customer base.
