Spindrift

This is what is known as ‘spindrift’, where the wind catches the spray on the crest of the waves. When observed at sea it usually denotes a force 8 gale, a wind speed of between 40-45 mph. It has been very windy over the past three days here on the coast and makes for a strenuous walk when you facing into the wind on the dunes but it seems to be dying down a bit this afternoon.
