Roundabout Owl Carving

I have driven around this wooden carving of an Owl on numerous occasions over the years and always meant to stop and take a photo of it.

This afternoon I eventually got around to it.

The carving sits in the middle of the roundabout on Longsands lane and looking closely at the weathered wood it has been there for some time.

I did try it in monochrome but in the end I preferred the colour version.
