Year's End.

Dec 1999. So these three strips to round out the year ends a pretty amazing series of stories for ol' Tad - and it was bittersweet in that I only had one semester left of school, and there was question of whether the strip would even appear in the paper anymore - it was the most popular thing they'd ever printed, but it was dependent on the mood of the editor - who was rather abruptly replaced with a born again woman who did NOT like my strip.

But mostly I closed this year out with a deep satisfaction of what I had created - not perfect, but very close to my heart. And there was just something about all of them looking back at the reader that if this HAD been the last one, would have been perfect. Of course, it wasn't the last one. :)
