Psalmist with a camera

By jellyfox

Spent a very productive 45 mins in the library with Albert today and learned a lot!!!

Part of the learning curve was using my newly acquired English to Russian App (courtesy of GK) and managing to get quite a few important messages across through that medium!

He was really tickled by the accent of 'the ladies' voice' on my smart phone....so we chuckled our way through decimal fractions, forces and friction, personal biographies and weekly spellings with her impeccable help!!!

He's slowly moving study wise, from being 'never ready' to being 'Eveready' but only 1.5 volts at the moment! I'm working desparately hard on achieving a 9 volt status before the end of this term!!

Right opposite us on the wall of the library was this poster.....and it nudged me into thinking that perhaps we should be easing down a little on the stringent curriculum content of our education systems and spending a little more time 'enjoying' the fun filled, hands on learning that children so enjoy.

Albert and I make our 'great escape' twice a week, and I use some fairly unorthodox teaching methods interspersed with 'happy banter to get the learning across.'

Nothing seems to get lost in translation.....back in class he's answering questions, joining in discussions and holding his own with his peers.

Language acquisition is definitely emerging, SPEED is the next big thing on my list!!!!!

Happy Blipping Everyone
