Roscoff harbour
Low tide at Roscoff harbour means no water - at all. The boats here stand on mini stilts sort of like crutches to keep them falling over, but they're so small and thin that they're not easy to spot. Without knowing they're there, the boats seem to stand upright entirely on their own through what appears to be a feat of maritime engineering.
The mini mountains that have popped up on the sand are created by mussels, oysters and a plethora of other shelled critters that dig deep into the sand. It's probably no surprise that these guys feature heavily on the menu of nearly all the restaurants in town!
