Lost..........and FOUND!
Firstly Happy St Patrick's Day to all. This has been a week of losing things. The day before yesterday I lost my car keys. Today I lost the brooch in my blip. It wasn't valuable except to me. My Irish Grandfather brought it back from a trip home. He bought one for each of my cousins and I. I was 8 years old at the time.
I always bring the brooch out and wear it on St Patrick's Day. I was just thinking this morning that this is the only thing that I have that my Grandad gave me, as of course all the toys are long gone.
Anyway I put the brooch on today and went out to a coffee morning dressed up in my best Indian clothes as it was a coffee morning to celebrate the festival of Holi. When I got there I realised my brooch was missing! I looked around but couldn't see it anywhere. So after losing my keys as well, I felt quite sad and careless. A friend told me to enlist the aid of Sant Longuinho patron saint of lost things. So I said a quick prayer to him.
I then made a last ditch attempt of looking for my keys in my friend's car and found them IMMEDIATELY even though I'd looked the day before. I was told if I found the item I had to jump up and down thanking the saint so I did. When I got home I thought I would look for the brooch but I'd have a cuppa first, I went into the kitchen and once again immediately saw the brooch on the floor . I love this Saint! I did my jumps and sent my thanks. Thanks also to Lia for introducing me to Saint Longuinho!
I was going to blip all the lovely ladies dressed in their pretty Indian sarees but thought in the end that the brooch was more apt.
